HEF at Hilton, Bandung

I have just returned from the Holland Education Fair 2009 at Hilton, Bandung. Well, I was looking for opportunities to get scholarship abroad and I think this might be one of them. Actually I’m planning to study something other than what I’m majoring right now, civil engineering. But then I found out by asking the people there, I can only study the things connected to what I’m majoring right now. I think Holland isn’t my place unless I’m planning to continue studying about civil engineering.

AVG Antivirus Update Deadline, December 1

AVG has setup a deadline for us to upgrade our AVG Antivirus installation from the older versions. It’s December 1. A popup appears reminds us about this. I think there won’t be any support for us using the older version anymore. So, I would recommend everyone to upgrade their installation immediately for a better and sustainable protection. I've Created My Amazon Wish List

I don’t know why but I feel like I want to make my Amazon wish list after have seen lots of people have one. It’s not like I would buy the items trough Amazon or I wanted someone to buy me the items in my wish list. It’s more like a reminder to me of what I want. Sounds weird but that’s what it’s all about. I’ve added 5 items in it and all of them are Tarot decks. Actually I already have one, the Samurai Tarot deck, but I still want the original-like Tarot images as the Universal Tarot deck. Check out my wish list and maybe you like the items too and add them in your own wish list.

I was wandering around and found out that the codename for the next release of Ubuntu has been set. It’s lucid Lynx.

Chip Wireless LAN Seminar at ITB

A seminar held at ITB (Institut Teknologi Bandung or Bandung Institute of Technology) about wireless LAN this evening. Well, I don’t think this seminar is for me but I want to know more about wireless conections. So I attend the seminar. The speaker is Onno Purbo; he once a teacher at ITB and he’s the one who has made the wireless internet connection at ITB as it is today. This seminar is held by Chip Indonesia, one of the computer magazine companies in Indonesia. Thanks to the seminar, I got some new knowledge about wireless technology. Continue reading…
