Prevent StatPress Counts Your Visit on Your Own Website

I have just started using StatPress today. It’s such a great plugin for tracking my WordPress based website. I was depending on WordPress.com stat to track my website visitor, but I think I don’t have to anymore. One thing missing from this plugin, I think, is the ability to exclude admin to track. When people make a website where enable people to register on their website, they still want to track the logged-in user activity but him. This plugin can track logged-in users and exclude certain IP address but it can’t exclude admin to be tracked; maybe I missed it, but I couldn’t find it. Well, I don’t always maintain my website from my home; I use my laptop and I might do it anywhere. Continue reading…

Lokesh Dhakar’s Lightbox 2 and its jQuery Plugin Clones

I have used Lokesh Dhakar’s Lightbox 2 script for the pictures on this journal. I would say that this scrips is awesome. But there’s one problem, its size. All the script, stylesheet, and the images have the size of 224 KB. Well, I would say that this is quite annoying knowing that people should download that size of data to open the images on my journal. So then I came up with the idea of looking for a substitute that is using jQuery so there are some scripts that is used together by lots of script functions. Continue reading…

2 New Categories: “Beatles Stuffs” and “Gundam Stuffs”

I feel like these two things, The Beatles and Gundam are my favorite things for this time. So I make 2 entry categories for those two things. Those two categories are called Beatles Stuffs, which is being a child category of the Music I Like, and Gundam Stuffs. I put the Beatles category under the Music I Like even though some journal entries I have written are about the new game themed the Beatles because basically I love the Beatles for their music. Well, I hope you could enjoy my new categories, moreover if your favorite thing is The Beatles or Gundam.

The QR Code of This Journal

Well, I think it would be cool having a barcode for my website, so I made one myself for this journal. I’m not really sure what I will use this 2D barcode for. Maybe I’ll just put it in the sidebar for this journal’s decoration. I’m not really sure what the information contained in the code because I haven’t had a test on it; I don’t have anything that could read the barcode like a modern cell phone. I think I will ask someone else to do it. Continue reading…

Use the “Sign In With Twitter” Button or Not

I walked through some blogs and found the “Sign In With Twitter” Button which looks very similar to the Facebook connect button. I was thinking that maybe it would be great if I add this button on my website. But then I thought that I can’t really know the people who commented on my journal when using this Twitter button as good as when using the Facebook connect button. Besides, I couldn’t find any WordPress plug-in for this Twitter button which means I have to program it on my own. I love programming website layout, but programming functions like this one, I’m not really into it. Well, I think not much people use twitter, but most people use Facebook.
