Knuffingen Airport is Incredible

Saw this airport on the Mail Online today. It was said that the creator spent 3.5 millions Euros and 6 years to have this model, which is based on the Hamburg Airport, bulit and running.

A video has been uploaded on Youtube showing the airport running as if it is a real air port. I found my self amazed by the miniature and I feel like I want to come visit this fictitious city of Knuffingen and go sight seeing around it.

Hello Again Fox, See You Next Time Dragon

I was a Firefox user but then I moved to Comodo Dragon for several reasons. The Dragon ran much faster than the Fox for it was actually Google Chrome with some additional security features. Besides, its interface was a lot simpler than Fox’s; just like Chrome’s. And the most important one is every tab I opened in the Dragon is considered as 1 separated process in the Windows Task Manager. So there the Dragon is 4 points ahead of the Fox.

Firefox 4 release was really a comeback according to my personal opinion. It runs faster even not much faster than the Dragon. And its interface is also much much better. And I’m thinking about moving back to the Fox and leave the Dragon for a while.

There is actually one thing really disturbing from the Dragon which is caused by the new GMail interface. The new GMail interface have this kind of head bar that I have to access every time I want to logout from GMail for it is located inside the drop down menu. And as I click my user I’d to access the drop down menu, the webpage always refreshed and I couldn’t logout.

Of course there is also 1 problem from the Fox as well. Up until now I haven’t found a way to change the address bar search default search engine into Google; right now the default is the AVG-Yahoo search and that’ annoying.

So I guess I’ll just keep using them both but still using the Dragon as my main browser. Let’s see if I can find fixes for the problem and be able to just use 1 web browser…

What’s With the “Second Best” Thing?

I’ve watched an early episode of NCIS, the second episode from the first season to be precise. There’s an interesting conversation between Gibbs, Tony, and Kate about horse trading. The situation is they need to get access to the DNA database to match a DNA to a murderer. But then instead of getting the access to the database, they were getting a search authorization. And after that, this conversation happened.

Kate: You knew Lieutenant Roberts wasn’t gonna allow us access to the DNA database.
Gibbs: Did I?
Kate: You did. So why go through the exercise?
Gibbs: Kate, I come from a long line of horse traders. First rule: You pick the best horse in the barn, and you work the deal until it bursts.
Tony: That way, when you go for the second best nag you get her for a song.
Kate: The search authorization…

What I see here is sometimes we have to look for number one to get number 2 easily. This kind of thing does really apply to lots of thing in this life, according to my experience. I admit the horse trading example is good.

The Come, Change, and Go Thing

The word goodbye had never really matter to me, until I read one of my friends shared status on her Facebook profile.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.

The “never, ever the same” part made me think about my past and the people in it; my colleague, my college friends, my classmates, and more. And I think I couldn’t agree more with what she said. They changed me.

Gundam Edition Visa Credit Card

After doing a collaboration with ANA in the SKY PROJECT, Gundam is doing another collaboration with Mitsui Sumitomo Bank creating a Gundam edition Visa credit card.

The image printed on the card looks like a painting showing the RX-78-2 Gundam and the Whitebase illustrated bu Kunio Okawara. It’s simple but so unique that it doesn’t look like an ordinary credit card.
